Choosing Now

There is a reason why the hair stands up on the back of your neck when you watch the sunrise from your deer stand or when the tip of your rod snaps down toward the water. God made you to Know Him, and He is seeking you through the outdoors...and through His Son, Jesus. In the outdoors, you see the greatness of God - in Jesus, you see the grace of God.

We Have All Missed the Mark

Romans 3:23 - "for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God;"

It is like trying to make a clear shot when the sight on your rifle is off. No matter how hard you try - you're going to miss. We have all missed the mark of perfection required to get into heaven.

You are Being Hunted

Hunting, as we all know, involves pursuing some game. The Bible tells us that we don't have the ability to pursue God, but He is pursing us!

Romans 3:10-11 - as it is written, "There is none righteous, not even one; there is none who understands, there is none who seeks for God;"

He pursues you because He loves you.

Romans 5:8 - "But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."

However, you are also being hunted by another.

I Peter 5:8 - "Be of sober spirit, be on the alert. Your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour."

You are being pursued by Satan, as well as God. You choose who captures you.

Let God Capture You

How do I let God capture my heart?

Romans 10:9-11 - "that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe I your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; for with the heart o person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation. For the Scriptures says, 'Whoever believes in him will not be disappointed.'"

To confess Jesus as Lord of your life and to demonstrate your trust in Him, pray this prayer:

Lord Jesus,

I know that I am a sinner; I want you to capture me. I know that you are God's Son and that you gave your life for me on the cross and that you rose from the dead to save me. I surrender control of my life to you. I invite you to come into my life. I will follow you for the rest of my life, Thank you, Jesus for saving me.


That's the truth...about being captured by God, in God's Country, forever.
